"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." - C. G. Jung
We are all born good. We are all born children of a loving, divinely intelligent Universe. We are all born with an innate knowledge of self-healing. Our bodies are miraculous self-organizing systems that heal itself without our own conscious intent. Our psyches share this same innate gift of self-healing intelligence. Therefore what we often perceive as disruptive life changes are often our own Higher Selves guiding us towards our self-healing.
THE ROLE OF OUR ANCESTORS The emerging science of epigenetics tell us what shamans and indigenous healers have taught us for millenia: that we are connected beyond time and space to the wisdom, love and trauma of our ancestors. The impacts of their lives literally live within us and unconsciously effect how we live in this world. For example, the historical trauma of genocide and colonization endured by my Philippine ancestors have deeply affected my sense of self-worth. For centuries, my ancestors have been told they were not good enough, not civilized enough to rule themselves and have dominion over their lives. This conditioning will live unconsciously in my psyche and in my genes, and I will operate from this damaging belief if I do not bring it to light. As we heal ourselves, we heal our ancestors and create new legacies for all those who will come after us.
As humans, we are invited on a great journey of discovery, miracle, and wonder. On our spiritual path, we are called to bring the light of our awareness to the darkness of our unconscious minds and ancestral lineages. When we cleanse ourselves of outdated self-limiting beliefs, we can start to live truly authentic, joy-filled lives. These moments are a message from beyond: opportunities for tremendous spiritual growth that can challenge all that we have ever thought about ourselves and the world. They are opportunities for profound rebirth. My work as a spiritual guide and healer is to help facilitate this process, like a midwife helping you birth a new you.
